SEMARANG – Proud news has once again arrived from a student of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS). One of BK UPGRIS’s students, Anik Lestari, has successfully been selected to participate in the international Teaching Practice (PPL) and Community Service (KKN) program in Southern Thailand.
This international program will take place from November 4 to November 30, 2025, as a result of a collaboration between Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS) and the Al-Hidayah Foundation for Education and Social Development, Thailand. This initiative is part of an effort to enhance student competencies through learning experiences and community service within an international environment.
The Head of the BK UPGRIS Study Program expressed appreciation for the achievement accomplished by Anik Lestari. Her participation in this program is expected to serve as a platform to develop teaching skills, broaden global perspectives, and increase the ability to adapt to the cultures and education systems of other countries.
During the program, the participant will conduct teaching practices in local educational institutions while simultaneously participating in various community service activities. This experience is expected to provide a positive contribution to the community of Southern Thailand, as well as enrich the academic and professional competencies of the participant.
Anik Lestari’s success in becoming a participant in this international program aligns with the spirit of the Kampus Berdampak (Impactful Campus) initiative championed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. Through this program, students are encouraged not only to excel academically but also to provide tangible benefits to society through cross-cultural collaboration and sustainable community service.
The big family of BK UPGRIS and Universitas PGRI Semarang congratulates Anik Lestari on this achievement. It is hoped that her participation in the Teaching Practice and Community Service program in Southern Thailand will be a valuable experience that supports competency development and brings honor to the institution at the international level.
