SEMARANG, bk.upgris.ac.id – A brilliant international achievement has once again been carved by the academic community of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, Faculty of Education (FIP), Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS). A group of students joined under the BK UPGRIS Aslab (Laboratory Assistant) Team successfully achieved a proud milestone by winning 2nd Place in the International Short Movie category.
This prestigious achievement was attained in a highly competitive arena, the 3rd National and International Counseling Olympiad (OSGC III), organized by the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BKPI) of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim (UIN SUSKA) Riau on December 18, 2025. The BK UPGRIS Aslab Team, consisting of six outstanding students Dewi, Amalia, Titis, Azam, Ismah, and Artika successfully mesmerized the panel of judges through a short cinematic piece deeply enriched with educational messages in the field of counseling.
This extraordinary success is undoubtedly inseparable from the vital role of Alan Hendratna, S.Pd. as the advisor, who consistently guided the short film’s production process from start to finish. Thanks to the intensive guidance and complete dedication provided, the Aslab Team was able to seamlessly align their creative filmmaking instincts with the fundamental theories of group guidance and counseling into a highly engaging and touching visual medium.
The entire academic community of the BK UPGRIS Study Program extends its highest appreciation for the hard work and remarkable milestone achieved by the Aslab Team. This international accolade further proves that BK UPGRIS students are not only academically proficient within the classroom, but are also adaptive, globally competitive, and highly skilled in utilizing digital technology as a tool for public education to realize the spirit of Diktisaintek Berdampak (Impactful Education, Science, and Technology).
