
SEMARANG, bk.upgris.ac.id – Good and proud news has once again brought honor to the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, Faculty of Education (FIP), Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS). Under the spirit of Diktisaintek Berdampak, BK UPGRIS has officially launched a series of global collaboration programs titled I-VISTA 2026 (International Collaboration). This program, conducted online via the Google Meet platform, brings together two experts from across continents as keynote speakers to delve into counseling science: Dr. Yunita Dwi Setyoningsih, S.Psi., M.Pd. from Universitas PGRI Semarang (Indonesia) and Dr. Kehinde Oyewusi from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria).
This intensive international lecture series is scheduled to take place regularly every Wednesday from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM WIB, focusing on four fundamental topics. The inaugural session started on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, dissecting the topic Basic concepts of personal and social counseling, which was then followed on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with a discussion on Student’s Developmental Needs Personal and Social Guidance and Counseling. Furthermore, on Wednesday, May 29, 2026, the lecture deepened the material on Identification Of Personal Social, and this program series will be comprehensively concluded on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, by reviewing the theme Counseling Strategy and Technique.
The entire academic community of the UPGRIS Guidance and Counseling Study Program extends its congratulations and highest appreciation for the extraordinary implementation of this strategic agenda. As a study program that has achieved an Excellent Accreditation (Terakreditasi Unggul) status, the I-VISTA 2026 initiative serves as tangible proof of BK UPGRIS’s commitment to expanding its global network, improving the quality of international-based learning, and facilitating students to absorb knowledge and perspectives directly from world experts. Through the reinforcement of theoretical and practical competencies shared in this forum, it is expected to give birth to new innovations in the field of personal-social counseling that are relevant to current global challenges. The success of this collaborative agenda further strengthens UPGRIS’s vision as The Meaning University which constantly brings a real impact to the wider community.
